TOS just updated to build 1790 and I noticed a peculiar issue.
The new build has some error in the way Ichimoku is drawn.
I have tried reporting it but have not receive any response from TOS yet.
You can see from the chart that Kijun sen was drawn all the way to the right which is not correct.
Just take a look at all my previous postings and you can see that the Kijun sen is not supposed to be extended or projected ahead.
I hope TOS will fix this asap.
It was not so far back Thinkorswim resolve those sofware updates issues.
This is the 2nd time I am having issues with Thinkorswim. And it is definitely not a pleasant experience going into option expiration.
And now, less than 3 months, such issues crop out again. Lagging charts, buggy software updates are all detrimental to a trader using the platform.
Seriously, if this is the level of service that they are going to maintain, I think it is time to move to other brokerages.
There is no need to add a whole slew of ‘new features’. Most traders will only use a couple and stick with it. In other words, adding new features does not brings you more revenue. In fact, there is a possibility that it introduce bugs, give traders bad experience and drive them over to the competitors.
All I want from my platform is reliability, simplicity and a lag-free experience. Is it really that hard?
This is the second day that Thinkorswim (TOS) is having issues.
Took more than 5minutes before my charts starts responding.
Imagine 2 days in a row, and I can’t see my charts, price quotes and open positions.
How is anyone going to trade this way?
Is this due to an upgrade in the software? Or is this part of the changes since TD Ameritrade acquires it/
Either way, it is not good for traders. I will change that to include investors as well.
Cos’ even if one invests with long term in mind, you will still not be able to see your positions.
If they can’t fix this soon enough, they are going to lose a lot of credibility.
