$AAPL : Resistance of the gap and weekly kumo

Daily Ichimoku chart of AAPL

$ AAPL rises from the lows of $390 till $500 on news that Ichan has acquired stakes in it.

On the daily Ichimoku chart, it would have point to a great bullish move.

However, with the announcement of the iPhone 5c and 5s, it seems that the market has price in the lack of innovation on the Ichimoku chart.

Weekly Ichimoku Chart of AAPL

We can see a gap down on the daily chart. More importantly, the price remains below the kumo on the Weekly chart.

Clearly, this suggests that the major bullish trend is over for $AAPL.

The growth of the mobile device is hitting a plateau and  the exponential growth in revenue may not be possible in the near term.

For those who bought at $700, it will be a very long term investment if one is going to hold and hope that $AAPL will hit the levels again in the next 1-2 years.

LinkedIn Corp ($LNKD): Move above Kijun sen (Trendline)

LinkedIn (LNKD) has just IPO for about a month. Its price went as high as $120 on the first day of trading and fall all the way to the $60 range during the last one month.

Today, LNKD has a gap up. With this gap up, the price level has move above the Kijun sen (trendline) on the Ichimoku chart.

The entire Ichimoku chart is not formed yet. But, I am taking a bet here with a SHORT PUT spread position for LNKD. I am bullish and it will go up in the short term (maybe all the way heading  towards the end of the year).

Note:

Insiders and money managers have 85.7 million Class B shares of LinkedIn that cannot be sold until 180 days after the IPO. новейшие игровые автоматы играть бесплатно без регистрации

Research In Motion (RIMM) : A sign of weakness

Wall Street Journal just reported that RIMM is shopping for mobile ad network to add to its business core.

If there’s one thing that is clear on this front, RIMM is losing ground for their mobile phone market share.

Acquiring a mobile ad network will at most keep them ‘alive’ in the game and play second fiddle to Apple and Google.

Unless, the acquisition is a game changer, I have difficulty looking at how this translate to a competitive advantage for RIMM.
